Checking out Org mode in Emacs

I’ve been using Planner mode in Emacs for quite a while now but I’ve seen how nifty Org Mode works so I decided to try it out myself. There are various note-taking apps in Linux such as Tomboy, GJots2, the sticky notes applet, KNotes and more. However, there’s nothing like a note/PIM integrated in Emacs, if you ask me.

Org Mode is nice because of the following:

It’s just a bunch of text files which you could edit quickly and easily find.
It’s free form. You could format it in whatever possible way. You could assign vaious tags for particular items.
Not much clicking around. — For me, that’s a good thing. It means I just have to have the list and type stuff in. It’s simple enough that way.
