Ubuntu 6.10 exits, Enter Ubuntu 8.04

Ubuntu 6.10’s almost at the end of its support period, coming this April 25, 2008. For those of you are wondering how to upgrade, check out the Feisty Upgrades page. However, the upcoming release is in beta already. Details are on the Ubuntu 8.04 Beta Release page. As it is still in beta, there might still be some quirks which need to be ironed out by the development team.
Some things you should expect in 8.04:

a new screen resolution utility which would help you use a second monitor
GNOME 2.22
Firefox 3 Beta 4 — Yay!!! Firefox 3 rocks.
Transmission replaces Gnome Bittorrent downloader
Brasero is installed as a the CD/DVD burning application
Wubi - for Windows users so they could have the experience of something similar to a dual boot setup
